Who am I?

I am Joa Eliëns, a 21-year-old student from the Netherlands. I am currently studying Communication & Multimedia Design at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in Maastricht. Here, I have developed skills in graphic design, UI/UX Design, Motion Design and much more.

From September 2026 until January 2027, I am interning at Reiters-Wings.

Sports Enthusiast

In my free time, I enjoy engaging in sports. I have a particular passion for Hapkido. This Korean martial art has been a form of relaxation and personal development for nine years. The sport has taught me a lot about discipline and self-confidence.

Hapkido achievements

  • 2022: Bronze medal: Sparren
  • 2022: Gold medal: Valoefening
  • 2023: Gold medal: Stijloefening
  • 2024: 1ste dan (black belt)
  • 2026: 2de dan

Other sports achievements

  • 2026: Half marathon (1:48:57)

Music

Since 2016, I have been trying to teach myself piano with the help of YouTube. Although I still have a lot to learn, I am proud of the progress I have made. Additionally, it is a great way to relax.
Recently, I have also started learning guitar.
